KUALA LUMPUR – Ujian rintis Sistem Pembayaran Terbuka (SPT) tol menggunakan kad debit, kad kredit atau prabayar kini dijalankan di dua lebuh raya di bawah Projek Lintasan Kota Holdings Sdn Bhd (PROLINTAS) iaitu Lebuhraya Koridor Guthrie (GCE) dan Lebuhraya Bertingkat Ampang-Kuala Lumpur (AKLEH).

Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Kumpulan PROLINTAS Datuk Mohammad Azlan Abdullah berkata alternatif pembayaran tol baharu itu tersedia untuk pengguna lebuh raya kenderaan Kelas 1 (kereta) di lorong khas yang ditandakan dengan papan tanda gantri baharu.

“Sistem itu kini dilaksanakan di tiga plaza tol GCE; Tol Plaza Bukit Jelutong, Tol Plaza Elmina dan Tol Plaza Lagong bermula 13 September 2023. 

“Sementara itu, Plaza Tol Datuk Keramat AKLEH telah menerima bayaran tol baharu sejak 9 September lepas. Satu lorong di setiap plaza tol dikhususkan untuk sistem secara percubaan mematuhi piawaian Lembaga Lebuhraya Malaysia (LLM),” katanya dalam kenyataan hari ini.

Mohammad Azlan berkata ia merupakan tambahan kepada kaedah pembayaran tol sedia ada seperti kad Touch ‘n Go, SmartTag dan Identifikasi Frekuensi Radio (RFID).

Beliau berkata inisiatif itu akan memberi kemudahan dan fleksibiliti yang lebih baik kepada pengguna jalan raya dengan pelbagai pilihan pembayaran tol yang akan menyumbang kepada peningkatan keseluruhan industri lebuh raya negara. – 15 September, 2023
