BINTULU – Seorang murid berusia 11 tahun meninggal dunia selepas ditimpa besi palang gol ketika aktiviti kokurikulum bersama-sama rakan sekelasnya di Sekolah Kebangsaan St. Anthony, di sini, pagi tadi.

Ketua Polis Daerah Bintulu Supt Batholomew Umpit dalam satu kenyataan mengesahkan Balai Polis Pusat Bintulu telah menerima laporan kemalangan itu pada 7.24 pagi.

“Seorang murid warga tempatan telah terlibat dalam kemalangan dan mendapat kecederaan parah di kepala akibat ditimpa besi palang gol di tempat kejadian yang dipercayai patah semasa aktiviti kokurikulum.

“Mangsa telah dibawa ke Hospital Bintulu dan disahkan meninggal dunia oleh pegawai perubatan,” katanya.

Katanya hasil siasatan awal mendapati tiada sebarang unsur jenayah dan kes diklasifikasikan sebagai kematian mengejut.

Beliau menasihati orang ramai supaya tidak membuat sebarang spekulasi atau menyebarkan berita yang tidak benar berkaitan kes itu.
