KUALA LUMPUR — Polis sedang menjalankan siasatan melibatkan kematian seorang pelajar sekolah berusia 17 tahun yang maut akibat dilanggar oleh sebuah kereta berhampiran Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Jati, Meru, hari ini.

Perkara itu disahkan oleh Ketua Polis Perak, Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri yang memaklumkan pihaknya telah menerima laporan dan dalam proses memanggil saksi bagi membantu siasatan.

“Pegawai saya akan panggil saksi berkenaan dan buat siasatan lebih lanjut,” katanya ketika dihubungi Bernama.

Mohd Yusri juga sedang menunggu laporan bedah siasat pelajar terbabit di Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun, Ipoh untuk proses bedah siasat.

Klip rakaman mengenai kejadian terbabit telah tular di media sosial. Kejadian berlaku berhampiran pintu utama pagar sekolah SMK Jati di Ipoh, ketika mangsa ingin pulang ke rumah selepas habis waktu persekolahan.

Ketika itu, mangsa dikatakan menunggang motosikal. Hari ini juga merupakan hari terakhir sesi persekolahan sebelum cuti penggal ketiga bermula sehingga 1 Januari depan. – 15 Disember, 2023
