Alor Gajah cops confirm woman’s decapitated body with severed arms, legs found in rubbish bin

Her dismembered body parts were discarded into bin then thrown into drain along roadside, district police chief says

4:39 PM MYT

KUALA LUMPUR – The headless body of a woman was discovered in a rubbish bin along the Alor Gajah-Tampin road, near Kg Rimau, Pulau Sebang, last Sunday.

Alor Gajah police chief Arshad Abu said, based on preliminary investigations, the victim was murdered with her head, arms, and legs severed.

The dismembered body parts were subsequently discarded in a rubbish bin and then thrown into a drain along the roadside.

He said that the remains, discovered on December 31 around 2pm, were found without clothing or identification.

“On December 31, we were informed of the incident involving the discovery of a body inside a garbage bin, discarded into a drain.

“Based on the received information, an investigation was promptly initiated by the police with its forensic unit and Alor Gajah Hospital.

“A postmortem was conducted at Melaka Hospital to determine the cause of death and the victim’s identity,” he said in a statement.

The case is classified as a murder case and is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code, he said.

He asked anyone who had lost a close family member or knew of missing individuals to contact the police or provide information about the case to assist in the investigation.

“The public can get in touch with the nearest police station or the Alor Gajah District Police Headquarters (IPD) at 06-5562222 or Senior Investigating Officer Deputy Superintendent Mohd Ali Hanafiah Hasim at 019-9536277,” he said. – January 6, 2024
