Woman injured after car plunges from TA One Tower parking lot

28-year-old suffered head, knee injuries, immediately transported to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for urgent medical attention

KUALA LUMPUR – A white Honda Accord plunged from the first floor of a parking lot at TA One Tower near Jalan P. Ramlee here today, injuring a woman.

According to the Fire and Rescue Department, the sedan was believed to have crashed into the barrier wall and subsequently crashed onto the pavement below.

Senior operations commander Khairul Azha Rifin said the car was already upside down and its roof had been crushed when emergency services arrived.

The victim, a 28-year-old woman, sustained injuries to the head and knee and was subsequently sent to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for further treatment, he said in a statement.

The operation included a team from the Jalan Tun Razak Fire Department with assistance from the Pudu Fire Department, which arrived after receiving an emergency call at 1.05pm today.

Also present were the emergency medical rescue services, two fire engines and 15 personnel.

Investigations into the incident have been handed over to the police for further action. – March 1, 2024
