KUALA LUMPUR – The personal bodyguard who was shot in the arrival hall of Kuala Lumpur International Airport early yesterday morning remains unconscious as of last night.

This was shared by Farah Md Isa, better known as Farah Cie, whom he was assigned to protect via a Facebook post.

“Sorry for not replying to messages sent to me. I am still traumatised by what happened right before my eyes. My bodyguard is still unconscious.

“Let’s together pray for Along to regain his health,” she said.

Farah’s husband fired two shots at her at the entrance of the arrival hall but missed. One of the shots struck one of her two bodyguards.

Nur Hadith, nicknamed Along, was in critical condition after the shooting and needed to be in an induced coma, his wife, Siti Noraida, said.

It was reported that he has been working with Elite Bodyguard Service Company for the past four years and has 18 years of experience as a bodyguard, said the company’s director, Rashid Ratag.

At 1.20am, Farah’s husband fired two shots at his wife at the arrival hall entrance but missed, with one of the shots hitting the victim, one of her two bodyguards.

Bukit Aman criminal investigation director Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain said that the suspect, identified as Hafizul Harawi, 38, is the targeted woman’s husband and business partner.

He said police have initiated a manhunt and called on Hafizul to surrender. He also said that CID officers from neighbouring states have been brought in to assist in the operation, which includes monitoring the country’s border regions. – April 15, 2024
