KUALA LUMPUR – Pengarah syarikat dan pemilik firma guaman direman dua hari kerana disyaki mengemukakan pelan pelaburan, skim perlindungan insurans serta laporan mingguan mengandungi butir matan palsu berkaitan tukaran mata wang asing (Forex) berjumlah kira-kira RM38 juta.

Sumber memaklumkan, kedua-dua suspek lelaki berusia 50-an itu ditahan Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) pada kira-kira jam 5 petang semalam.

Katanya, mereka ditahan ketika hadir bagi dirakamkan keterangan di Ibu Pejabat SPRM dan Pejabat SPRM Seberang Prai, Pulau Pinang.

“Susulan penahan itu, semua suspek dibawa ke Mahkamah Majistret Putrajaya pagi tadi dan perintah reman dua hari bermula hari ini hingga esok, dikeluarkan Majistret Ti Pei Si terhadap suspek.

“Siasatan awal mendapati kedua-dua suspek dipercayai melakukan perbuatan terbabit pada tahun 2020,” katanya.

Sementara itu, sumber memaklumkan, Pengarah Kanan Siasatan, Datuk Seri Hishamuddin Hashim ketika dihubungi media mengesahkan penahanan terhadap suspek.
