KUALA LUMPUR – Selepas digantung empat hari disebabkan isu komersial, stesen televisyen, Awesome TV Saluran 112 kembali bersiaran di platform MYTV berkuat kuasa kelmarin.

Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Awesome TV, Datuk Adam Ilyas berkata, pihak peguam syarikat itu, sudah berbincang dengan peguam MYTV Sdn Bhd untuk menyelesaikan isu penggantungan Awesome TV daripada platform MYTV.

“Susulan daripada itu, peguam Awesome TV dan MYTV Sdn Bhd mencapai persetujuan yang memihak kepada kita,” katanya menerusi kenyataan rasmi.

Awesome Broadcasting Sdn Bhd (Awesome TV) digantung siaran daripada platform penyiaran MYTV Brodcasting Sdn Bhd (MYTV) pada 26 Mei lalu.

Menurut MYTV, penggantungan itu disebabkan isu komersial yang tidak dapat diselesaikan walaupun pelbagai usaha dilakukan kedua-dua pihak.

Awesome TV dalam kenyataannya pula berkata, tindakan MYTV menggantung siaran mereka daripada platform terbabit menerusi saluran 112, sama sekali tidak beretika dan menyalahi undang-undang.

Katanya, ia kerana permohonan semakan rayuan di Mahkamah Rayuan dan permohonan rayuan kepada tribunal rayuan Suruhanjaya Komunikasi dan Multimedia (MCMC) difailkan Awesome TV di mahkamah sebelum ini, masih tiada keputusan.

Namun, Awesome TV masih berdepan isu kes saman dan bayaran terhadap beberapa penerbit masih belum dilunaskan.

Sementara itu, netizen menyambut baik tindakan MYTV tidak meneruskan penggantungan penyiaran Awesome TV, termasuk berpandangan tindakan berkenaan akan memberikan lebih pilihan kepada orang ramai. – 31 Mei, 2024
