KUALA LUMPUR – Suspek yang juga anggota polis di Perak masih belum ditahan tugas dan tindakan susulan akan diambil selepas siasatan berhubung kes pembunuhan Nur Farah Kartini Abdullah, 25, selesai sepenuhnya.

Bercakap kepada Scoop, Ketua Polis Perak, Datuk Azizi Mat Aris berkata, pihaknya sedang menunggu laporan siasatan kes itu daripada polis Selangor.

“Kami tunggu sehingga polis Selangor selesai siasat dahulu baru kami buat keputusan (penahanan tugas).

“(Sekarang status) dia (suspek) masih lagi dalam tahanan polis Selangor,” katanya.

Menurut Azizi, suspek yang berpangkat Lans Koperal itu sudah lima tahun berkhidmat dengan Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) dan bertugas di Balai Polis Slim River.

Terdahulu, suspek berusia 26 tahun itu ditahan reman selama tujuh hari sehingga 22 Julai ini bagi membantu siasatan berhubung kes pembunuhan Farah yang didakwa sebagai teman wanitanya.

Kelmarin, bekas penuntut Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) itu ditemukan mati di sebuah ladang kelapa sawit di Kampung Sri Kledang, Hulu Selangor.
