Punk rock icons to perform hit albums Dookie and American idiot in entirety, with tickets on sale from September 24

KUALA LUMPUR – Iconic punk rock band Green Day is set to electrify Kuala Lumpur with a highly anticipated live concert on February 18, 2025.Β 

The upcoming show would mark the band’s first-ever appearance in Malaysia.

In an announcement on its website, concert organiser Live Nation said the event will take place at the National Hockey Stadium, with the show slated to start at 8pm.

Fans eager to secure their spot at the concert will have several opportunities to purchase tickets.

MasterCard Presale: starts on Tuesday, September 24, at 10am, and ends on Thursday, September 26, at 10am.

Live Nation Presale: available on Thursday, September 26, from 12pm to 11.59pm. Fans can register for a free membership at www.livenation.my to access the exclusive presale.

General Onsale: opens on Friday, September 27, at 11am, with the waiting room starting at 10am.

Formed in 1986 in Berkeley, California, Green Day has become one of the most influential bands in the world, with over 75 million records sold globally and 10 billion cumulative audio/visual streams. 

The band’s breakthrough came in 1994 with the release of their album Dookie, which sold over 10 million copies and achieved 10x Platinum Diamond status. Their music not only revived mainstream interest in punk rock but also launched a series of number one hit singles.

In 2004, Green Day released the rock opera American Idiot, which became a cultural phenomenon, selling over eight million copies in the United States and earning a Grammy Award for Best Rock Album. 

The band continued to evolve, with their 2020 album Father of All… debuting at number one on multiple charts, followed by their 14th studio album, Saviors, in January 2024, which also received critical acclaim.

Green Day’s upcoming Kuala Lumpur concert is part of their massive global stadium tour, The Saviors Tour, where they will perform hit albums Dookie and American Idiot in their entirety, along with tracks from Saviors and other fan favourites. – August 23, 2024
