Woman’s body found on Pavilion Suites roof

Rescue personnel retrieve deceased foreign national after fall from unknown height in Bukit Bintang

KUALA LUMPUR – Fire and rescue personnel found a woman’s body on the roof of Pavilion Suites’ foyer in Bukit Bintang after responding to an emergency call early this morning.

In a statement today, the Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department said its operations centre received the emergency call at 3:57 am, after which approximately 16 personnel were dispatched to the scene.

According to operations commander Md Fuad Selamat, rescue personnel discovered that the woman had fallen onto the roof of Pavilion Suites’ foyer from an undetermined height.

The victim was successfully brought down at 7:48 am using a skylift provided by the building’s management.

“The victim was confirmed deceased at the scene by Health Ministry officials and has been handed over to the police for further action,” the department stated.

It is understood that the woman, whose identity is currently under investigation by police, was a foreign national. – November 11, 2024
