KUALA LUMPUR – Umat Islam di Malaysia akan mula berpuasa pada Ahad ini, 2 Mac 2025.

Pengumuman itu dibuat oleh Penyimpan Mohor Besar Raja-Raja, Tan Sri Syed Danial Syed Ahmad menerusi Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM), sebentar tadi.

Syed Danial berkata tarikh permulaan puasa bagi negeri-negeri di seluruh Malaysia ditetapkan menurut perintah Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim setelah diperkenan oleh Duli-Duli Yang Maha Mulia Raja-Raja.

Pejabat Penyimpan Mohor Besar Raja-Raja menerusi satu kenyataan sebelum ini telah menetapkan 28 Februari bersamaan dengan 29 Syaaban 1446 Hijrah untuk melihat anak bulan Ramadan bagi menentukan permulaan puasa untuk umat Islam di Malaysia.

Proses melihat anak bulan dijalankan di 29 lokasi di seluruh negara antaranya di Baitul Hilal Bangunan Sultan Ismail, Pontian, Johor; dan Kompleks Falak Al-Khawarizmi, Kampung Balik Batu, Tanjung Bidara di Melaka.

Turut menjadi tempat cerapan anak bulan ialah Kompleks Baitul Hilal Telok Kemang, Port Dickson di Negeri Sembilan; serta Bukit Melawati, Kuala Selangor, Bukit Jugra, Banting, Kuala Langat dan Balai Cerap Selangor, Sabak Bernam di Selangor.

Di Perak, lokasinya di Pantai Pasir Panjang, Mukim Pengkalan Baru di Manjung; Pulau Pinang (Pusat Falak Sheikh Tahir, Pantai Aceh) serta Kedah (Kampung Pulau Sayak, Kuala Muda; Pemandangan Indah, Pulau Langkawi dan Menara Alor Setar). – 28 Februari, 2025
