KUALA LUMPUR – Sebanyak 894 laporan polis telah diterima di seluruh negara ke atas pendakwah bebas, Zamri Vinoth yang didakwa menghina agama hindu di Facebooknya baru-baru ini.

Ketua Polis Negara, Tan Sri Razarudin Husain berkata, proses rakaman percakapan juga sudah dilakukan dan kertas siasatan sudah diserahkan ke Peguam Negara (AGC).

“Kertas siasatan masih dalam kajian pihak AGC. Setakat ini, belum ada arahan lanjut,” katanya pada Rabu.

Hantaran Facebook Zamri, yang mengandungi kenyataan yang didakwa menghina agama Hindu dilaporkan telah dipadam dari platform media sosial pada hari Ahad.

Bagaimanapun beliau didakwa memuat naik semula kandungan tersebut tidak lama selepas ia dipadam, mencetuskan gesaan supaya tindakan diambil ke atasnya.

Terdahulu, Menteri Komunikasi, Datuk Fahmi Fadzil berkata Suruhanjaya Komunikasi dan Multimedia Malaysia (MCMC) sedang menyiasat hantaran dimuat naik semula oleh Zamri selepas diturunkan oleh Facebook.

Menurut Fahmi, beliau telah mengarahkan suruhanjaya berkenaan untuk meneliti isu tersebut dan bertindak berdasarkan dapatan mereka. – 12 Mac, 2025
