KUALA LUMPUR – The National Day parade is back at Dataran Putrajaya with much fanfare as dignitaries, leaders and participants are joined by more than 100,000 attendees to usher Merdeka.

Crowds started to turn up as early as 1am to the square to book a good spot to watch the parade.

The attendees were most delighted by the cheeky display of the Fire and Rescue personnel, as well as the aerial show by the air force and 50 of its assets.

They were also wowed by the air formation of 25 helicopters showcasing the preparedness of the national security forces.

Themed “Malaysia Madani: Tekad Perpaduan Penuhi Harapan”, this year’s National Day celebration involved 17,262 participants, 67 contingents, 36 brass bands, 534 land and air assets, and 100 service animals. – August 31, 2023
