IKAN Bandaraya Fish Hunters Community is seen actively netting the invasive freshwater species along Sg Langat, Bangi.

A three-hour operation hunting for the foreign fish successfully captured nearly 1 ton of the invasive creatures, also known as the Amazon sailfin catfish.

The operation, which kicked off at 8am today, also involved members of the Fisheries Department, the Selangor Irrigation and Drainage Department, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi Mara, Civil Defence, Air Selangor, and the Selangor Water Management Authority. – June 9, 2024
