Sabah Umno always believed in Bung Moktar’s integrity, says state info chief

SANDAKAN – Sabah Umno had always believed that its chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin was innocent of the corruption charges against him, said Sabah Umno information chief.

Datuk Suhaimi Nasir, who is also Libaran MP, said the Kuala Lumpur High Court’s decision, which acquitted and discharged Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin and his wife Datin Seri Zizie Izette Abdul Samad of all three of their corruption charges, proves that everyone is innocent until proven guilty.

“The court’s decision shows that Bung Moktar and his wife had received the justice that they deserved.

“Bung Moktar and his wife were given a fair chance to defend themselves from the corruption charges that had ended in their favour,” he said in a statement today.

Suhaimi said that with this development, Bung Moktar can now have all his attention and efforts focused on strengthening Sabah Umno and central Umno in facing the political scenario today.

“We in Sabah Umno will continue to give undivided support to Bung Moktar’s leadership, no matter the situation and obstacles that we face because we are confident in his integrity,” he added. – September 7, 2023
