Fire nearly consumes entire truck before firefighters extinguish flames

KUALA LUMPUR – A lorry transporting formula milk was engulfed in flames on the North-South Expressway earlier today.    

In an initial report, the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department’s Operations Centre said it had received a distress call regarding the incident at 2.48pm.

One water tanker from the Rawang fire and rescue station, as well as eight personnel, were dispatched to extinguish the flames. 

The report also mentioned that the fire nearly consumed the entire Volvo lorry.

Fortunately, no casualties were reported from the incident, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire. – September 26, 2023
