Najib tests positive for Covid-19, in stable condition

Ex-PM admitted to Kuala Lumpur Hospital after experiencing fever on Tuesday

KUALA LUMPUR – Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has tested positive for Covid-19 and is currently being admitted to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL).

Najib’s special officer, Mukhlis Maghribi, told Astro Awani that Najib had contracted a fever on Tuesday prior to being admitted.

It is learnt that Najib is presently in stable condition and is under quarantine at the hospital.

Additionally, Mukhlis also expressed his thanks to the prison authorities and HKL for their prompt action on behalf of Najib’s family.

Najib is currently serving a 12-year prison sentence after the Federal Court upheld his conviction for misappropriating over RM42 million from SRC International Sdn Bhd last August. – November 2, 2023
