Loga Bala assumes role of MyPPP acting president

Senior veep steps up in accordance with party constitution

KUALA LUMPUR – MyPPP senior vice-president Datuk Loga Bala Mohan will assume the position of acting president following the death of party president Datuk Seri Maglin Dennis D’Cruz yesterday. 

Party secretary-general Datuk Inder Singh Beant Singh said this is in accordance with clause 9.10 of the party constitution, which stipulates that the senior vice-president will be acting as president should the position fall vacant.

According to article 9.3 of the constitution, Loga Bala will remain the acting president until a general assembly to elect a new president is held, he said in a statement today.

Meanwhile, in another statement, Inder Singh said those who wish to pay their last respects to Maglin can do so at Wisma MyPPP between 11am and 5pm tomorrow, and between 9am and noon on November 20.
