KUALA LUMPUR – Two videos showing a ‘foreigner’ physically assaulting a concertgoer at British band Coldplay’s recent sold-out show at Bukit Jalil National Stadium are making the rounds on social media.

Numerous TikTok and X (formerly Twitter) users swiftly condemned the violent actions of the disruptive fan, who marred the concert experience for many nearby attendees.

TikTok user Yi Siang shared a video captioned “Unexpected scene in Coldplay concert,” capturing the moment the Caucasian man began shouting at someone else.

According to him, the scuffle involved a “racist, disrespectful white man”, noting that the aggressor was eventually escorted out by the security team.

“Weh i was really scared when they started fighting. I takut jadi stampede pulak (I was scared of it becoming a stampede). Panik gila! (I panicked like crazy!),” TikTok user @ninslah said in the comments.

Another TikTok user @dianatran said: “Coldplay concerts are actually the most chill & loving spaces, to start a fight at one… yikes.”

On X, user @pkckAm posted a video showing the foreigner repeatedly punching someone during the band’s performance of one of its most famous songs, ‘Viva la Vida’.

@pkckAm said in the caption that he was fortunate to be far enough away, as he nearly got hit by the brawl that took place in front of him.

In the video, the concert’s security team was seen quickly restraining the foreigner and removing him from the area after breaking up the scuffle.

X user @alifimrankh in the comments section chided the foreigner, accusing him of coming to other people’s country and displaying obnoxious behaviour.

Another X user @sugarcaffeine1 called the foreigner crazy and uncouth for pushing fans around and cutting to the front of the crowd, adding that Malaysians were polite and did not want to push back.

@sugarcaffeine1 also said that the man did not queue up amongst the crowds, and then acted like a thug.

X user @QUEENightingale pointed out that the security team did a good job. – November 24, 2023
