Cops confirm viral video of police vehicles chasing Bezza in Cyberjaya 

Some netizens had speculated incident was part of movie shoot

KUALA LUMPUR – A viral video showing several police patrol vehicles chasing a Perodua Bezza in Cyberjaya was confirmed to be an actual police chase.

Petaling Jaya district police chief Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid, who confirmed the incident that happened around 2.30am today, said the chase started from Petaling Jaya and continued into Cyberjaya resulting in the eventual arrest of the suspect.

“We will be issuing a statement regarding this case soon,” he told Astro Awani.

It is learnt that three men and one woman were in the Perodua Bezza, which was being driven in a suspicious manner in Petaling Jaya, when police officers who were on patrol duty attempted to stop their vehicle.

However, the suspects decided to evade police, triggering the chase from Petaling Jaya to Cyberjaya. 

Following the chase, which ended at Taman Tasik Cyberjaya, police successfully apprehended the suspects.

Upon the posting of the viral video as early as 5am onwards, many netizens speculated that it was part of a movie shoot, given that witnesses were able to capture the chase from various locations within Cyberjaya. – December 5, 2023
