EPF to announce new CEO soon as Amir Hamzah moves to finance minister II role

It says Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan has been instrumental in fund's growth, success during his tenure as CEO

KUALA LUMPUR – The new chief executive officer (CEO) of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) will be announced in due course after the appointment of Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan as finance minister II, effective today. 

In a statement today, the EPF said Amir has played a pivotal role in the fund’s growth and success throughout his tenure as CEO. 

It said that Amir’s key achievements include steering the EPF through various economic cycles and challenges and consistently achieving positive growth in investment income. 

“The EPF board, management, and employees congratulate Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah for his appointment as finance minister II and are confident that his leadership will contribute significantly to the economic development of the nation,” the EPF said. – December 12, 2023
