KUALA LUMPUR – Former Community Communications Department (J-Kom) director-general Datuk Dr Mohammad Agus Yusoff has declined to comment on allegations that the Darjah Kebesaran Setia Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Terbilang (DPSK) conferred on him in 2011 has been revoked.

“I don’t want to comment on this; I’m currently overseas,” he said briefly to Scoop today.

Scoop had attempted to obtain Agus’ comments following a directive purportedly issued by the Kelantan government on December 28 of last year.

The directive, disclosing that state honours had been revoked, has been circulating on social media since this morning.

It was stated in the directive that Sultan of Kelantan, Sultan Muhammad V, who conferred the DPSK, which carries the title ‘Datuk’ to Agus on November 12, 2011, had been revoked on December 2, last year. – January 18, 2024
