KUALA LUMPUR – At least 200,000 p-hailing riders and drivers will enjoy mobile data plans priced as low as RM33 with a minimum of 40GB internet, offered by CelcomDigi, Maxis, U Mobile, TM (Unifi Mobile) and YTL Communications.

The data package is offered to 16 p-hailing service providers such as Grab, Foodpanda, Bungkusit, Halo Delivery, iHantar, Lalamove, MatDespatch, Parcel365, RideRunner, Shopee, Fasz Food, Lazada Logistics, Belibeli, iGoGet, GoGet and GoLog.

At the launch, Communication Minister Fahmi Fadzil said each data package is unique and different according to the agreement of the telcos chosen by the respective p-hailing platform providers.

He added that the Rahmah incentive package will benefit some 200,000 p-hailing riders and drivers nationwide.

“The package contract is for a year and subject to the terms that have been agreed between the telcos and p-hailing companies.

“This is because there are riders who may have changed jobs… all these are flexible,” he said at the launch held at Angkasapuri here today.

P-hailing riders and drivers can start registering for the data plans starting today until April 23 via their respective platforms. – January 23, 2024
