Brutal killer shot dead in Bukit Subang flat

Suspect armed with parang, attempted to attack police during raid, according to authorities

KUALA LUMPUR – A murder suspect was shot dead by the police after he tried to attack them with a parang during a raid at a flat in Bukit Subang, Shah Alam, yesterday.

The police shot the man once during the raid at 5.30pm that was meant to arrest him.

The suspect died on the spot and the 28cm-long blade was seized as the case is being investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code for attempted murder.

Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the man was suspected of brutally killing a 19-year-old foreign woman in Sg Way on Monday.

“The woman was killed after being stabbed eight times,” he said yesterday.

The body of a 19-year-old woman was found near the staircase of a Desa Mentari apartment in Sg Way, with injuries on her neck, chest, and hands.

Soon after getting the emergency call, authorities deployed a forensics team, medical personnel from Sg Buloh Hospital and pathology experts from University Malaya Medical Centre. – February 1, 2024
