KUALA LUMPUR – A body of a man was found floating in the Section 14 lake in Shah Alam this morning by a member of the public.

Shah Alam police chief Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said initial examination by the Selangor forensics team found that the victim bore some abrasions on his neck and small wounds on his cheeks and nose.

“They also did not find any signs of struggle or other injuries on the victim’s body that could be the cause of death.

“The man was fully dressed but did not carry any identification. We suspect he is a foreigner as he did not have a BCG injection on his left shoulder,” he said in a statement today.

Police were informed of the body at 8.19am and the case has been classified as sudden death.

The body has been sent to Shah Alam Hospital for a post-mortem scheduled tomorrow at 9am.

Those with any information on the case can call investigating officer Ahmad Fazlin Rasli at 012-511–3584. – February 7, 2024
