Dental examinations underway as part of hospital’s standard post-mortem procedure

KLANG – The next of kin of the two victims of the Kapar air crash have provided deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) samples to facilitate the post-mortem and body identification processes.

At about 9.16am, four family members of the pilot, Daniel Yee Hsiang Khoon, aged 30, were seen leaving the forensic department at Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital (HTAR).

It was also confirmed that two family members of co-pilot Roshaan Singh Raina, 42, had completed giving their DNA samples at 9.50am. 

They, however, declined interviews with reporters, who had gathered at HTAR’s forensic department since 8am.

The forensic department staff told Scoop that the dental examination of the two bodies is currently ongoing and that it is a standard operating procedure for the post-mortem process at the hospital.

At 8.11 last night, the bodies of the two victims involved in the incident were recovered from the wreckage of the Gabriel BK160 plane and transported to HTAR.

The two individuals, who were members of the Air Adventure Flying Club, were engaged in a recreational flight before the unfortunate plane crash. – February 14, 2024
