Pakistan national charged with rape at Serdang KTM changes plea to not guilty

PETALING JAYA – A Pakistani national has changed his plea to not guilty for raping a 29-year-old local woman at a pedestrian bridge near the Serdang KTM station.

Muhammad Mudasar, 23, told judge Syahliza Warnoh today as his charges were read out in Urdu at the sessions court here today.

However, he maintained his guilty plea of robbing her at 12.45am on January 14 at knifepoint at the same location even though he disputed the evidence shown by the prosecution.

As a result, the judge rejected Muhammad’s guilty plea, which was made on January 24 at the same court. 

Deputy public prosecutor Anis Hakimah Ibrahim appeared for the prosecution while Muhammad was unrepresented.

In a separate case, Muhammad and fellow countryman Muhammad Waqas, 29, changed their plea to not guilty of robbing a 20-year-old woman at knifepoint at the same place at 11.15pm on December 30.

The charge was read out again before judge Noor Ruzilawati Mohd Nor.

Deputy public prosecutor Ahmad Zuhaini Mahamad Amin, meanwhile, told the two accused to appoint a lawyer by the next proceedings. 

Case mention for both is set on March 26. – February 26, 2024
