KUALA LUMPUR – The nurse who was found unconscious next to her car around Jalan Simpang Tiga Dangi, Johol, Kuala Pilah, yesterday, was believed to have been pulled away from her vehicle before being attacked.

Kuala Pilah district deputy police chief Syahrul Anuar Abdul Wahab said police are actively pursuing a male suspect believed to be involved in the incident.

“Further investigation (of the incident) revealed that the incident occurred around 10pm while the victim was on her way to work at Tuanku Ampuan Najihah Hospital here, coming from the direction of Hutan Percha.

“Upon arriving at the scene (where she was found), the victim said her car was hit by another car, which made her stop her vehicle on the roadside.

“The suspect was believed to have opened her car door, pulled her out, and punched her in the face,” Syahrul said in a statement.

“The victim also said that she was hit with a blunt object on the back of her head,” he added.

He further said that the incident was not a case of robbery since the victim did not lose any valuable items.

“The medical officer (who treated the victim) also confirmed that the victim suffered minor injuries on her shoulder and head,” he added.

Currently, he said, the victim is in a stable condition and that there are no signs of severe injuries on any part of her body.

“The police are actively tracking down the suspect. We are still identifying the motive and cause of the incident.

“Members of the public are urged not to make any speculations about the incident,” he said.
