Human bones found with motorbike in Gemas oil palm estate

Tampin top cop says skeleton from waist down discovered in dry ditch with vehicle and a skull was also found nearby

SEREMBAN – Skeletal remains, believed to be those of a human, were found in an oil palm plantation at Felda Sg Kelamah in Gemas, Tampin at about 2.10pm today. 

Tampin police chief Amiruddien Sariman said officers at the Gemas police station were notified of the discovery by members of the public. 

“Based on that information, police went to the scene and found a human skeleton from the waist down to the feet in a dry ditch along with a motorcycle. 

“A helmet, a belt and a human skull were also found.

“The distance between the human skeleton and the motorcycle was approximately 15m, the spinal bones were 10m away and the skull approximately 80m away,” he said here today. 

He said the skeleton and bones were sent to the Tampin Hospital Forensic Department for a post mortem and DNA test. 

The case is being investigated as sudden death and investigations are still ongoing to determine the identity and cause of death. – April 29, 2024
