Will Zus finally end coffee lovers’ floppy straw misery?

After several complaints of its rice straw with some resorting to opt for hot drinks just so they don’t have to grapple with it floppiness, chain hints at introducing a solution

5:32 PM MYT

KUALA LUMPUR – Fans of Zus Coffee, who have been complaining about “floppy straws”, will have something more “durable” to look forward to.

In response, Zus Coffee posted on X that it is coming up with new straws for its consumers.

“We promise we’re coming with new straw for you guys! Bawa bertenang guys much love (sic).”

Recently, fans of the homegrown coffee chain have been posting pictures of their “floppy rice straws”, urging the brand to provide sturdier straws.

Zus Coffee’s rice straws were introduced in March 2022, and were said to be 100% plant-based and edible.

Some netizens said they ended up eating bits of the straws as they sipped their iced coffees, while others posted that they started to drink hot coffee to avoid using the rice straws. – May 14, 2024
