Maybank resolves latest mobile app disruption, but card info still inaccessible

KUALA LUMPUR – Maybank has resolved the recent service and transaction disruptions on its mobile app.

However, card information remains inaccessible, as announced by Maybank on social media platform X.

“Kindly be informed that you may now perform your transactions as usual. However, viewing your card information is currently unavailable.

“We thank you for your continued patience and support.”

Earlier, the bank reported a communication error, while the desktop version of Maybank2u experienced buffering during login attempts.

Several users expressed frustration on social media at around 5pm today over the disruption, citing a lack of cash alternatives for payments.

Maybank’s mobile app has experienced multiple system disruptions recently, including one just before the Aidilfitri celebrations.

Additionally, users recently faced issues accessing Maybank’s Tabung feature, raising concerns about their funds.

At 6.55pm today, Maybank posted an alert on its X page, stating that the affected services included the MAE app, Maybank2u and Maybank2u Biz features for both web and app, as well as debit card transactions. – May 23, 2024
