KUALA LUMPUR – Water supply has been restored by 76.1% overall to areas affected by maintenance works and asset replacement at the Sg Selangor Phase 1 Water Treatment Plant, as of 9pm Thursday.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) said that this included full restoration to areas in Group 1 earlier today, while supply to other areas is returning in stages.

Group 1 areas include parts of Kota Damansara, Taman Tun Dr Ismail and Bandar Pinggiran Subang in Petaling district, several residential areas in Gombak, Klang, as well as Bukit Bintang and Sri Hartamas under Kuala Lumpur.

Air Selangor said a return of full water supply is in phases by 3am on Friday for some areas, and by noon for others, completing the restoration of water supply for all areas affected by the maintenance since Wednesday.

It advised consumers to let the tap run until the water is clear before using it for daily consumption.

Consumers who have received their water supply should use it prudently to ensure that the recovery process in other affected areas proceeds smoothly as scheduled, it added. – June 6, 2024
