Turbid water leads to sudden supply cuts in KL 

Bukit Bintang, city centre among areas affected as Bukit Nanas treatment plant temporarily shuts down

KUALA LUMPUR – At least 20 areas here are experiencing sudden water supply disruption after the Bukit Nanas treatment plant was temporarily shut down due to increased colouration in the treated water.

According to Air Selangor, the recovery process of water quality parameters was being implemented as of 8am to comply with the water quality standards.

Among the affected areas are Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur Hospital, the city centre, Pudu and Kg Baru. 

Alternative assistance through water tankers has been mobilised to the affected areas by giving priority to critical premises.
