KUALA LUMPUR – 29 areas in Kuala Lumpur are facing unscheduled water cuts since 6am today as emergency repairs are being done on a burst pipe at Hub Pasar Seni, said Air Selangor.

Affected areas include Apartment Putra Ria, Brickfields, Bukit Bandaraya, Bukit Bangsar, Bukit Damansara, Bukit Persekutuan, Bukit Tunku, Damansara Heights, Damansara Town Centre, Idamansara and Jalan Sultan Hishammuddin.

In a statement, Air Selangor said the repair works are expected to be completed by 1am tomorrow and the water supply will be restored in stages once the main water supply distribution system has stabilised.

“The water supply recovery duration period differs depending on the consumer’s location and the water pressure in the distribution system. However, the water supply is expected to fully recover by 1pm tomorrow (Wednesday),” the statement said.

Water tankers will be mobilised to the affected areas, with priority given to critical premises such as hospitals, clinics, dialysis centres and funeral homes during the disruption period, the company added.

Consumers can obtain updates on the unscheduled water supply disruption through official channels such as the Air Selangor app, Facebook, Instagram and X, or contact Air Selangor’s Call Centre at 15300 or visit https://www.airselangor.com.
