Key Alliance appoints Farhash Wafa Salvador as chairman

The ICT company said he brings a wealth of experience in construction, technology, hotel, food and beverage sectors

KUALA LUMPUR – Key Alliance Group Bhd has appointed Datuk Wira Farhash Wafa Salvador as its new chairman.

The information, communications and technology company said in a Bursa Malaysia filing today that Farhash brings with him more than a decade’s worth of experience in the field of business, consultancy and advisory across construction, technology, hotel, food and beverage sectors.

“As a testament to Farhash’s talents and invaluable contribution to the small and medium enterprise (SME) industry, he was named, amongst the many, Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year in 2020 by the Global Business Leadership Awards, Enterprising Entrepreneur of the Year in 2019 and Technopreneur of the Year in 2018 by SEBA,” said Key Alliance.

He was also named Malaysia Outstanding National Entrepreneur Bumiputera in Business in 2018, 100th Most Influential Young Entrepreneur in 2017 and Bumiputera Entrepreneur Startup Scheme Award by the Bumiputera Agenda Leadership Unit (TERAJU) in 2016.

Farhash received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Portsmouth, United Kingdom; a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Portsmouth, United Kingdom; and an Executive Certificate in Public Leadership from Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard University.

Farhash was either a director or a shareholder in at least 10 private companies, including Swag Technologies Sdn Bhd, Salvador & Sons Sdn Bhd, and Pacific Samudera Sdn Bhd.

He was also an independent non-executive director of Bluemont Group Limited (now known as Southern Archipelago Limited) from 2014 to 2016, a public listed company listed on the Mainboard of the Singapore Exchange.

Farhash holds directorships in public companies and listed issuers, namely Apex Equity Holdings Bhd; Excel Force MSC Bhd; 7-Eleven Malaysia Holdings Bhd; Berjaya Construction Bhd (Non-Listed); and Bukit Kiara Resort Bhd (non-listed).

Farhash, a former political aide to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and the former PKR Perak chief, also sits on the Board of Advisory of Yayasan Usahawan Malaysia, a non-governmental organisation. – January 28, 2025
