BUKIT MERTAJAM — A one-stop centre aimed at simplifying access to employee-related services will be launched in Penang as part of a nationwide rollout, the Human Resources Minister has announced.
Steven Sim said the proposed One-Stop Employee Service Centre would consolidate all labour-related services under one roof, making it easier for workers, employers and HR professionals to resolve employment matters.
“I will be announcing Kesuma’s plan soon. This centre will address labour issues more efficiently by bringing various services together in one place,” Sim said during a Hari Raya open house hosted by Penang DAP in Bukit Mertajam today, Bernama reported.
He added that Penang would serve as the pilot location for the initiative, with plans to expand it across the country in collaboration with state governments.
The event was attended by about 1,000 guests, including Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow, DAP state vice-chairman Zairil Khir Johari and party adviser Lim Guan Eng. — April 13, 2025
