Rapid Rail says service extended to ease movements of those attending JDT-Sri Pahang Malaysia Cup match and Datuk Amy Search’s first solo concert

KUALA LUMPUR – Football fans and local rock music lovers alike now can enjoy hassle-free journeys back and forth as the Bukit Jalil LRT station will be open until 12.30am midnight April 27 to accommodate attendees for the Malaysia Cup finals and Amy Search’s first solo concert.

In a statement, Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd said that the service time has been extended to ease the movements of passengers as well as the spectators of the football match and the concert. Both events are taking place today.

“Connecting stations would have (their service time) extended to allow passengers to continue their trips till their last destinations,” said Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd.

It also recommended that passengers use their Touch ‘n Go cards and ensure that they have enough balance.

Rapid Rail also listed the connecting stations, which are also extended to ensure passengers arrive to their intended destination, including Masjid Jamek, Pasar Seni and Putra Heights (Kelana Jaya line); Plaza Rakyat, Hang Tuah, Titiwangsa, Maluri and others (Ampang/Sri Petaling line); Hang Tuah and Titiwangsa (Monorail); as well as several other stations on the Kajang and Putrajaya line.

Amy, whose real name is Suhaimi Abdul Rahman, 67, will hold his concert at the Axiata Arena, marking a significant milestone in the veteran singer’s over 40-year journey in the music industry.

Meanwhile, Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) FC will be facing Sri Pahang FC at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium tonight.

Additionally, there will be road closures and diversions around the Bukit Jalil National Stadium from 2pm today in conjunction with the Malaysia Cup final.

According to Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa, the phased closures are meant to ensure smooth traffic flow, safety, and security throughout the event, and will remain in place until the match ends.

Affected routes include several exits and junctions near Jalan Barat, the Sukom traffic lights, and the Puchong Link.

A total of 180 officers will be on duty from 10am to manage patrols and traffic. The public is advised to use public transport, plan ahead, and follow on-site instructions.

For more information, contact the Jalan Tun H.S. Lee Traffic Police Station at 03-20719999, JSPTKL Hotline at 03-20260267 / 0269, or the nearest police station. – April 26, 2025
