Embrace Sabah’s Political landscape – BN and PH are inextricably linked: Salleh

Former chief minister urges Sabahans to embrace cooperation between BN, PH, and local parties for stability and development

4:09 PM MYT

KOTA KINABALU – Former Sabah chief minister Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak has urged the people to recognise the unique political landscape of Sabah, which differs from that of Sarawak.

He emphasised the importance of remaining realistic and not falling for misleading narratives.

In his recent Facebook update, he stated: There are attempts to create the perception that in Sabah, PH can be accepted but BN cannot. This is illogical.”

Salleh, who is the Usukan Assemblyman, highlighted that both BN and PH serve as foundational elements of the Madani government at the national level.

“It is impossible to separate them because their objectives are the same — stability, development, and the future of the people.

“If we truly want to follow the Sarawak model, then all national parties, including BN and PH, must be rejected.

“But Sabah is different. Here, stability is built through cooperation between BN, PH, and local parties,” he said.

Salleh stressed that the priority should be on stability and the future of the people, rather than engaging in divisive politics.

“Stability is not a matter of choosing sides but rather of coming together for a shared objective,” he added. – April 28, 2025
