If elected, PN will resolve ongoing issues in Negri: Sanjeevan

Sanjeevan said that PN would come up with solutions and ensure action is taken to address these problems, promising not to remain silent like the current state government.

KUALA LUMPUR – Newly appointed Bersatu associate wing info chief, Datuk R. Sri Sanjeevan has expressed confidence that Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition will be able to address unresolved issues in Negri Sembilan if they are given the mandate to form the state government.

Speaking to Scoop, he criticised the caretaker state government, suggesting that they failed adequately tackle infrastructure problems, social economy issues, and the cost of living.

Sanjeevan highlighted specific issues, such as deteriorating roads and accessibility, dilapidated social facilities, limited job opportunities leading to increased youth involvement in criminal activities, and selective problem-solving by the current state government.

“If PN becomes the state government, we will be able to directly address these issues as we will have the resources to do so. However, if we become the opposition, our ability to resolve these issues would be limited to raising the matter in the state assembly.

Sanjeevan said that PN would come up with solutions and ensure action is taken to address these problems, promising not to remain silent like the current state government.

He pointed out specific cases, such as the neglect of a Tamil school and inadequate drainage in Jeram Padang, as examples of the current government’s selective approach in problem-solving.

Meanwhile, Sanjeevan said that the PN coalition is not just for Malays or Muslims but for all Malaysians.

“We want to create an inclusive society where everyone can contribute and benefit. The negative perception towards the coalition is unfair and unfounded,” he said.

He added that it is important to have open dialogue and engagement with political parties like PAS to better understand their perspectives and work towards common objectives.

“We should not let prejudice or preconceived notions cloud our judgment. It is important to have a balanced and nuanced understanding of different political parties and their members. Only then can we build trust and foster unity,” he concluded.  July 26, 2023
