My corporate background could help solve peoples’ issues: Fahmi Ngah

PETALING JAYA — PKR’s Seri Setia candidate Fahmi Ngah is confident that his corporate background will be an added advantage in the upcoming state election.

Fahmi, who previously served as the Smart Selangor Delivery Unit managing director and Selangor Economic Advisor Office as chief executive, said he looked forward to bringing reforms on a bigger scale.

“Now is an exciting time for the people of Selangor to put forward a politician who will look at different methodologies in solving citizen issues in the state.

“Through my experience in the corporate world, I have succeeded in forging some successes in terms of reforms, such as the Smart Selangor Parking (application).

“So, (I hope they) do not waste (this opportunity) and be mindful of who they choose (to be representative),” he said.

Fahmi was speaking to reporters at the nomination centre at Dewan Sivik MBPJ, here earlier.

He is contesting in a four-cornered fight between Muda’s Dobby Chew, Pas’s Mohd Zubir Embong, and independent candidate Harindran Krishnan.

He will replace incumbent PKR’s Halimey Abu Bakar who defeated Halimah Ali of Pas with a majority of 4,027 votes. — July 29, 2023
