KUALA LUMPUR – The Malaysian Football League (MFL) has named two new board members to represent teams for the 2021-2025 term.

Sri Pahang FC chief executive officer Datuk Mohamed Suffian Awang and Penang FC general manager Jeffrey Chew were appointed following the 7th League Partners Meeting today.

“MFL President Datuk Ab Ghani Hassan welcomed these new board members during the meeting.

“He is optimistic that their presence in the local football scene will be the ‘voice’ in Malaysian League clubs within MFL top management,” MFL said in a statement.

Suffian previously served as the team manager for Pahang in 2018, before assuming the role of CEO in the 2020 season.

Jeffrey has played a pivotal role in steering Penang FC since the 2020 season as the general manager.

These appointments fill the vacancies left by the former executive director of Melaka United FC, Datuk Mohd Saiful Mat Sapri, and the former CEO of UiTM FC, Mustaza Ahmad. – September 7, 2023
