KUALA LUMPUR – The Malaysian Football League (MFL) launched the Jelajah Piala Malaysia today, which will see the Malaysia Cup trophy displayed in five locations across the country.
The tour is powered by Pos Malaysia, AEON BiG, ALIF Cooking Oil and Bubbles O2.
The tour, which kicked off at the AEON BiG in Wangsa Maju today, will be displayed at AEON BiG outlets in Perak, Pahang, Klang and Johor from September 15 to December 3.
This campaign is to drum up excitement for the Malaysia Cup final at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium on December 9.
The trophy will be on display for the public, and they will also be able to engage in interactive games and exciting activities with MFL partners.
At the same time, fans can also meet and greet their favourite players at each tour location.
MFL chief Datuk Stuart Ramalingam said it is proud to welcome the collaboration of the sponsors to add excitement to one of the oldest football competitions in Asia.
“This tour will not only promote the tournament but also provide fans with the opportunity to see the trophy up close.
“The collaboration between the sponsors also demonstrates an excellent cooperative relationship between them. This strengthens their respective brands on the platform of the Malaysia League.
“We encourage football enthusiasts to seize the chance to witness the esteemed Malaysia Cup trophy, which holds a rich history,” he said.
Formerly known as the HMS Malaya Cup, the tournament originated in 1921 and was renamed in 1967.
