KUALA LUMPUR — Selangor FC will conduct an internal review following the recent incident involving their club center-back, Yazan Al-Arab, who assaulted referee Hasrol Amir after the Malaysia Cup quarter-final second leg against Terengganu recently.

In a statement released today, Selangor FC expressed awareness of the incident and readiness to fully cooperate with the relevant authorities for further investigations into the matter.

The club also expressed dissatisfaction with the standard of refereeing throughout the match.

Without mentioning a specific date, Selangor FC will also submit a formal report to the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) for further clarification.
