KUALA LUMPUR – Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) rider Muhammad Nur Aiman Rosli has signed with the Terengganu Polygon Cycling Team (TSG) for the 2024 season.

The national team cyclist made the announcement through an Instagram story post on his account today.

“Looking forward to the 2024 season with the Terengganu Polygon Cycling Team. Thank you, TSG, for the opportunity,” said the 24-year-old, who also tagged the official TSG Instagram account in the post.

The Muar-born cyclist, who revealed he chose to make his LTdL debut instead of heading to the Hangzhou Asian Games, helped Team Malaysia achieve its target of obtaining the white jersey for the Best Asian Rider classification at LTdL after finishing Stage 3 in sixth place.

He unfortunately surrendered the jersey in the next stage and could not regain it.

However, Aiman’s performance in Stage 3, along with some sensational performances from other Team Malaysia members, helped the team finish as the fifth-best Asian team at LTdL.

They ended the eight-stage series ahead of some UCI Continental teams like JCL Team Ukyo from Japan, Hengxiang Cycling Team from China and KSPO Professional from South Korea.

Team Malaysia also finished a respectable 14th out of 22 teams in the ProSeries race.

Meanwhile, TSG ended the season as the best Asian team for the third year in a row and fifth overall.

Their Mongolian rider, Jambaljamts Sainbayar, managed to emerge as the second-best Asian cyclist this season. – October 22, 2023
