Ex-Kedah FC striker Hidalgo joins JDT

The team also signed Declan Lambert and Ryan Lambert from KL City, and Azam Azmi from Terengganu

KUALA LUMPUR – Johor Darul Ta’zim FC (JDT) has announced the addition of former Kedah Darul Aman FC (KDA FC) striker Manuel Hidalgo to their roster for the upcoming M-League season.

Alongside Hidalgo, JDT has secured the signings of three other players: Declan Lambert and Ryan Lambert from KL City, and Azam Azmi from Terengganu.

JDT chief executive officer Alistair Edwards, confirmed the acquisitions today.

“JDT have signed Azam Azmi, Manuel Hidalgo, Declan Lambert, and Ryan Lambert.

“We are also in discussions to secure a goalkeeper.”

However, Edwards clarified that Azam will be loaned out to Terengganu, while Declan will be loaned to Kuala Lumpur.

Hidalgo, meanwhile, is set to be loaned out to Sri Pahang FC, where the 24-year-old previously played in the 2021 to 2022 season.

As for Ryan, he will initially train with the JDT first team and may either be loaned out or integrated into the JDT 2024-25 squad.

These four new signings will be on loan for the 2024 and 2025 M-League seasons, which kick off in May. – February 28, 2024
