Thousands gear up for inaugural RHB WCE Century Ride

Participants from 19 countries worldwide join event, part of Visit Perak Year 2024, showcasing international enthusiasm for cycling

KUALA LUMPUR – The West Coast Expressway (WCE) will be flooded with cyclists tomorrow as 3,038 riders have confirmed their participation in the inaugural RHB WCE Century Ride.

The cycling event, held in conjunction with Visit Perak Year 2024, offers multiple categories for different age ranges, with the main events being the 160km, 90km, and 28km rides that start and end at Lekir Toll Plaza.

The event, organised by RHB Banking Group with the cooperation of WCE, will see international participation from 19 countries, namely: Argentina, Australia, Brunei, Cambodia, Canada, China, Denmark, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, South Korea, the Netherlands, Norway, the Philippines, Russia, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

“Each participant is advised to plan their journey, get enough rest and arrive early to facilitate registration.

“The event will start with the departure at 6.45am at the Lekir Tol Plaza. Many activities will take place on the day, including the awarding ceremony for the competitive categories.

“In addition, there will be food sales that will offer a variety of options and participants will receive food vouchers to enjoy a meal after the cycling,” said WCE Holdings Bhd chief executive officer Lyndon Alfred Felix.
