KUALA LUMPUR — A decision on who will be the new chairman of Stadium Corp Malaysia (PSM) to replace Datuk Hans Isaac is expected tomorrow.

This was confirmed by PSM chief executive officer Iliyas Jamil who said all decisions on the selection of new PSM committee members, including the chairmanship, will be made by Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh.

He said the committee term for the 2023-2025 session will end tomorrow and all new committees will be appointed in the morning of the 2025-2027 term.

“The Stadium Corporation Act provides for a group of 16 people to be appointed.

“This term will end tomorrow, and we will wait for the honourable KBS minister to appoint the committee,” he told reporters at a PSM press conference at Bukit Jalil National Stadium here today.

On Monday, Hans announced via Instagram that he would no longer hold the position of PSM chairman which he had held for the past two years.

For the record, since Hans assumed the position as PSM chairman, he has managed to ensure that the entity has the highest income of RM10.64 million in 2024.

SNBJ managed to contribute RM1.8 million from income generated through non-sports activities such as organising concerts. – March 19, 2025
