The Immigration Department is still hunting for the remaining 30 undocumented migrants still at large after escaping from the Bidor Immigration Detention Depot in Perak on February 1.
State police chief Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri said that the search area would also be focused on Kampar and Muallim districts as well as other locations that have the potential for the escapees to hide.
Police have stopped using roadblocks in the search for the remaining 28 undocumented migrants who escaped from an immigration detention centre in Bidor earlier this month, and will only launch manhunts based on reports from the public, the home minister said.
A total of 91 of the 131 undocumented migrants who broke out of the Bidor Temporary Immigration Depot in Tapah last Thursday have been rearrested as of 8pm yesterday.
A total of 86 undocumented migrants who fled from the Bidor Temporary Immigration Depot last Thursday have been recaptured as of this morning, said Perak police chief Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri.
