Police have arrested a man for allegedly assaulting his wife after she supposedly ignored his call to help with the housework at their home in Jalan Perdana 3/10, Pandan Perdana, Ampang on Monday.
The Shah Alam Magistrates’ Court has granted a seven-day remand for a man suspected of fatally assaulting his wife with a dumbbell at a residence on Jalan Sg Congkak in Shah Alam.
Selangor recorded the highest number of domestic violence cases, at 4,690, compared with other states nationwide for the period from 2020 to August 2023, said Deputy Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Aiman Athirah Sabu.
